BHU-PAT 2017 (BAMS) Entrance Test Date Changed, Negative Marking Applicable

The Banaras Hindu University has changed the dates of its entrance exam for admissions to its 51/2 Year BAMS Program.  Earlier the exam was scheduled for 28th May.  The revised date of BHU-PAT-2017 entrance exam is 16th July 2017.

The university has also moved the last date to apply from 30th April to 31st May, 2017.  

Another notable change is in the marking scheme of the entrance exam.  Until last year, there was no negative marking for incorrect answers to the offline OMR nased questions.  However, in BHU-PAT-2017, a negative marking scheme has been introduced wherein 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.  Highlights of the new marking scheme:

- Single paper with Multiple choice questions
- Duration : 3 hrs
- Total Questions - 200

(a) Physics - 50 marks (150 marks)
(b) Chemistry - 50 marks (150 marks)
(c) Botany- 50 marks (150 marks)
(d) Zoology- 50 marks (150 marks)

- Each correct answer carries 3 marks
- 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer
- 0 mark deducted for question not attempted
